All-Gender Restrooms

SWSA has taken the initiative to de-gender all of the restrooms in Wilson Hall. Have questions? We're here to help.
We won! After quite a bit of direct action, a couple of problematic encounters, and multiple conversations with the administration, all of the bathrooms in the School of Social Work will no longer have a gender designation. Most of the bathrooms are already done, however there is still more work to be done, and there are a few more changes that will be made over the course of the Winter 2018 semester. You can find out more by reading our press release here.

A message from the SWSA executive to trans and gender non-conforming students, faculty, and staff in the School of Social Work: We love and respect you. Your genders are valid, and you deserve the right to be safe in your place of study/work. We are also acutely aware that issues surrounding restrooms are not the only barriers that you might face as a trans and/or gender non-conforming person at McGill. If there is anything else that we can do to help support you, please let us know.
